Butwal, July 26 Water level has risen in the Tinau River, thanks to rains continuing throughout Monday night. The flooded river has caused erosion in settlements located on its banks. People of Buddhanagar, Butwal-13, shifted to safer places after floodwater entered the settlement. According to police, the flooded river has caused erosion in Hattisundh, Butwal-13. The river has put around 11,000 landless people living on its banks under threat. According to locals, this is the worst flooding in the Tinau so far this year. Police have mobilised to prevent local people from entering their settlements in a bid to protect their lives from the raging river. The swollen river has caused considerable damage to a pillar of the suspension bridge at Butwal-13, putting the entire structure under threat of collapse.
