Makalu Air cr@$^ed in Humla
KATHMANDU, Aug 4: A Makalu Air aircraft has met with an accident in Humla, injuring Pilot and Co-pilot on Thursday.
Pilot Sange Lama and Co-pilot Prashanta Shah were injured in the accident that occurred at 4:05 pm.
The accident took place when the aircraft with Call Sign 9N ALD was flying to Surkhet from Simikot, the district headquarters of Humla.
According to an official at the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, the single engine aircraft nosedived after the crew members crash-landed near Helambu rivulet after noticing problem with the engine.
There were no other passengers in the aircraft. The injured have been airlifted to Nepalgunj by a Simrik chopper, Santosh Adhikari, Nepalgunj airport Air Traffic Controller, told Republica Online.
